January Update: Free Books, Live Events, and Big Changes

Happy New Year! 2026 is starting off at a sprint. Between moving my debut novel to new platforms and some exciting speaking engagements, there is a lot to catch up on this month.

📍 Catching Qat: The “Going Wide” Sale

Big news for my debut novel, Catching Qat. I am officially moving the book out of Kindle Unlimited to make it available on all platforms (Apple Books, Kobo, Barnes & Noble, etc.). To celebrate “Going Wide,” I have two big dates for you:

🎙️ On the Air: The Wandering Scribe

I recently sat down for a recorded session with Gabriel Garcia over at The Wandering Scribe. We had a great conversation about the writing process and the themes behind my work. I don’t have the exact air date yet, but I will post an update as soon as the episode is live!

🗣️ Author Talk: French Valley Library

If you’re in the area, I’d love to see you in person! I’ll be hosting an Author Talk at the French Valley Library on January 23rd. I’ll be discussing my writing journey and answering questions from the audience. Come say hi!

📚 Fresh Reviews on Substack

If you’re looking for your next great read, I’ve been busy over on my Substack. I’m currently sharing reviews of upcoming titles I’ve received through NetGalley. If you want to see what’s worth adding to your TBR pile, head over there and subscribe.

Until tomorrow… or tomorrow!

Exploring personalities, family ties and backgrounds of each person, as well as learning about the larger world in general, are all part of the enjoyable read. Players of RPGs will be particularly interested in the tale.… Continue reading Anthony Rabiola

December 13, 2025 I really enjoyed this one. The twin dynamic was emotional and compelling, and I was quickly invested in both Qrodin and Qat despite how different their lives turned out. The found-family vibe of the traveling party was a highlight for me, each character felt distinct and fun, with just enough mystery to… Continue reading Nora Bennett

September 29, 2025 So enjoyed getting to explore this new fantasy world. The various characters come alive as you get to know them and they get to know each other. Their story leads readers on wonderful adventures with new cultures to explore. I can’t wait to continue reading the Drakkaen Nakkla saga! – for Catching… Continue reading Reader
