I am thrilled to share a brand new addition to the world of Catching Qat! For years, I relied on a hand-drawn map scanned onto my computer to keep my story straight, but it was so pixelated that it looked terrible in print. I knew that for a world this big, my readers deserved better.
I’ve been working hard on a brand new, world map (check it out below), and a beautifully detailed regional map that will be included in the final book! This new regional map is not only visually stunning but also includes the key cities and regions that are central to the story, so you can easily follow along with the characters.

I created this map using Inkarnate, a fantastic online map-making tool. It’s been a game-changer and so easy to use, even for creating large-scale landscapes. I’m already planning to use it to create more detailed maps of the cities and other locations for future books.
For even more information on the world of Catching Qat and the diverse lands and cultures it holds, be sure to check out the Countries of Oram page on my website. It’s a great place to get a sneak peek into the rich history and unique peoples that make up this world.
I can’t wait for you all to see it in print and have a better sense of the world I’ve been building.
Until tomorrow… or tomorrow!
