The official release date for the new look is January 23rd! But you’re going to get a sneak peek! And you might find it early in book stores if you look for it.
Why the Change?
You might be wondering, since it was released less than three months ago, why a new cover already? Well… In nearly every article about book design, it is stated that the cover should immediately indicate the genre.
Have you ever looked at Catching Qat and wondered which genre it was? Yeah. So did a lot of other people. A big cat’s eye with a dagger through the middle. Murder mystery? Could be. Thriller? Yup! Horror? It’s possible. Fantasy? Sure.
And if you’re looking for one of the first three genres I listed above, you’d be disappointed when you read the description. That’s not what I envisioned when I designed that beautiful golden eye.
What’s next?
Now, if you already purchased a copy with the original cover, don’t be disappointed. Hold onto it, and when I become a best-selling author, it will be considered a rare version and worth lots of money. You’ll be able to sell it for far more than the $2 price tags seen on most used books in thrift stores. You might get it for $5 😆.
But if you’d like Catching Qat with the new cover? Right now, the hardcover (no jacket) is available on Amazon. The jacketed hardcover will be available soon. Paperbacks will be next…just keep checking back. As soon as it’s available, the new cover will appear on your bookstore’s webpage.
